It all lead up to Wondercon. For years, I proclaimed that I would have my own booth at one of the San Diego Conventions. Though to be fair, it was more speaking it into existence than making headway. Proclaiming that it will happen is important, but so is taking the steps needed to make it happen.
So, when we received an email that we would have a booth at Wonder Con, safe to say I was ecstatic. Regardless of the fact that I had a month to gather all of the merchandise and equipment needed to sell at Wondercon, it was go time. We decided to put forward the best we could given the amount of time we had, and we waited.
Now that the event is over, I can say it was everything I could’ve hoped for. We learned from veteran exhibitors and am working on a game plan to make our next exhibit even more spectacular.
We were an inspiration to others. I remember being on the other side of that booth and telling myself, “I’m going to be there one day.” I didn’t realize that once I made it, I could be a beacon for others who were in my shoes. It was an honor to give creators hope, and we at SSC live by the motto that “there is more than enough room at the table.”
Wondercon was the perfect venue to debut, and with the launch of our website, SSC has made a splash. Don’t worry though, we have so much planned, we’re just getting started.
